What India should do right against South Africa in the World Cup 2011

The journey till this match against the proteas for the men in blue has not been very convincing. But as the saying goes in a big tournament like this the most important thing is peaking at the right time. India's first major test shall come the 12th of march 2011.The nagpur stadium has all the potential to give a cracker of a match.Jacques Kallis has till date had a very poor world cup, but he is such a person who cannot be kept calm for long. Its Hashim Amlas good hunting ground and AB devillers is very focussed. If Greame Smith gives these guys good support then there is no need for the others to get in and finish the match.

The key to India's strategy lies in keeping the above men under check and put in maximum pressure. The South Africans have the habit of choking under pressure. The following are some of the tactics which India should employ at nagpur, if they need to put pressure in the Proteas.

Tactic- A

Virender Sehwag needs get himself reminded what he said before the Bangladesh match. He needs to plan his innings in such a way that he stays in the wicket atleast 40 overs. If he stays then automatically the pressure will be on South Africa.

Tactic-B
The bowlers needs to try and bowl on one side of the wicket. They should not give the batsmen any pace to hit. They will struggle against slow bowlers, whether the pitch will turn or not.

Tactic-C
Ashwin should in all possibility either replace Piyush or Harbhajan. A rest to Harbhajan shall always benefit in the coming matches. If Zaheer plays then Nehra shouldnt and if Nehra plays i think Zaheer should not. This shall maintain the right left bowling balance.

Tactic-D

Virat Kohli needs to focus on his batting and think that he is competing with AB devillers. Virat Kohli does well only when he thinks he is competing with some one.Gary kirsten needs to convey this to Virat and definetly acheive the desired result.

Tactic-E

Sachin needs to set himself a goal that his average against South Africa is pretty low and needs to improve.

If India needs to do well against proteas then they need to fire on all cylinders.

All the best India
